sassy story

Sassy Story

1994 ApHC Mare
Storyman x Satin Doll RR

Sassy Story has been nothing less than a success story in the Appaloosa Industry. This mare has won World and Reserve World Champions in Jr Western Pleasure, Jr Trail, and 2 year old HUS. Then, add in all of her Non Pro and Youth Championships and I lost count at 17 with many, many more Top 10s at both the Worlds and Nationals. She was one of a kind and now owned by the Tshlish's and shown by their daughter, Kailhe. Sassy was most recently High Point Versatility 16-18 winner in 2009. Congratulations and Best Wishes for continued success in 2010!

She's Good Looking

1999 ApHC Mare (deceased)
Good Version (QH) x Dan Dee Doolin

Annie was one of those horses, you just couldn't stop watching. She was so good with her hock, flat up front, and cadenenced and just possessed that self carriage that we all look for. A World and National Champion, Annie never lacked presence in the show ring and yet was always a character to be around. Sadly, Annie no longer with us, will have to pass on her legacy through her son, The Goods (see Show String page). Annie - we miss you and "Cowboy" hopes to do you proud!

An Affair After Midnite

An Affair At Midnite

Smokey won the QH Congress in the Novice Hunter Under Saddle in 2009 as a 2 year old. How many junior horses show in the Novice classes, let along a 2 year old? He was definitely a success story for Melissa Shetler, a young and up and coming trainer from Pennsylvania who took a chance on a tall, lanky, unbroke gelding and made him into the superstar last year. Melissa - thanks for believing in my breeding program and wishing you continued success!

Lukes Like Royalty

Lukes Like Royalty

2004 AQHA Mare
Million Dollar Luke X Royal's Lady (JC)

Dorie was everything that I had hoped for when matching her dam to Million Dollar Luke. Unfortunately with a fall on the lunge line, she never shined in the pen that all that saw her agreed she would do. Great minded, great legged, size, and mind made her one of my favorites when she was a yearling. Congratulations to Kevin McGrath who is going to try her on his newest stallion, BR I AM. Best wishes and I can't wait to see her foals in the show pen.

Only an Illusion

Impulsion Only

2009 APHA Mare
By Appointment Only X Not So Sudden

Sophie has all the credentials to be a top contender in the APHA western pleasure events. By the up and coming APHA Reserve World Champion sire, By Appointment Only and out of a full sister to AQHA World Champion and World Champion sire, Sudden Impulse. This filly has a strong mare line coming from both her sire and dam. There aren't many Paints with these bloodlines all combined into one package. She is the real deal and look for her at the major APHA/NSBA futuries in 2011. Good Luck to her new owners, Don and Cindy Gattis!

Place Your Chips

Place Your Chips

2009 APHA Mare
By Appointment Only X Not So Sudden

Chip is a pretty gelding that is out of a full sister to Call Me Fourteen (4x World and Reserve World Champion in western pleasure and by the Reichert Equine Color Classic Reserve Champion. What more can I say than this gelding has a GREAT mind and is slow legged. This gelding has been out getting show experience at the open show circuit here in Ohio in preparation of moving into showing at the Paint shows next year. He has been winning in Open and Youth classes; Trail and Western Pleasure along with taking his rider to wins in Showmanship and Horsemanship too. Congratulations to Tim and Deb Mosier on their purchase of this fine gelding and wishing them success in the show ring. The 2010 show season started out with a bang, with Deb and her daughters, Jennay and Kacee winning local youth championships. Look for them next year at even more shows. Wishing them continued success in 2011!

Suddenly A Hottie

Suddenly A Hottie

2009 AQHA Mare
One Hot Krymsun X Not So Sudden

Viola is by the hottest sire in the industry, One Hot Krymsun and out of a full sister to World Champion and World Champion sire, Sudden Impulse. This filly is bred to ride and win! She is super quiet, incredibly slow legged, and just pretty to look at. We expect great things from this one but will have to wait and see this in her foals (she was recently purchased by Jeff and Peggy Michael to be a foundation mare in their new breeding program. Congratulations - we can't wait to see what she produces and will look forward to seeing either a Three Chips or The Goods foal in the near future!

No Reservations

"Cooper"

2010 APHA Sorrel Overo colt (deceased)
By Appointment Only x Not So Sudden

This gelding is just a classic example of Western Pleasure at its’ finest. He has the topline, the slow legs, and deep hock, combined with that flat front leg that everyone likes to see. Roll of that up with an exquisite head to match and you will understand why Invitation Only crosses so well on those Impulsions daughters. “Cooper” is sure to be noticed in the pen and without a doubt will be a top contender in the lunge line futurities or hold him back for the two year old money classes.

Invitation N Roses

Invitation N Roses

2006 ApHC mare
Invitation Only  x Pistols N Roses

Rosey was Top 10 as a 2 year old and then came out to win the 3 Year Old Western Pleasure at the Worlds the following year.  She was also Top 3 in the Non Pro several times and oh what a disposition.  This mare was a favorite to all that came in contact with her (and can you believe that pedigree) - will be a top producing dam in the future.
